Assistant Professor, Theatre and Film
The Department of Theatre and Film in Jacksonville State University’s College of Arts & Humanities is seeking to hire an assistant professor of film.
The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory to advanced film courses, such as Introduction to Film, Editing, Post-production in Film, and Film Technology Foundations. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position on a 9 month contract with an anticipated start of Fall 2025. Applicants for this position must possess the following required qualifications:
- MA, MFA or PhD in Film by appointment date
- Evidence of good teaching and scholarly/creative potential
Preference may be given to applicants with significant postproduction experience (editing, audio, visual effects, etc.) with current technologies/equipment and proficiency in Adobe CC application suite.
