Assistant or Associate Professor, Social Work
Jacksonville State University’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences invites applications for a tenure track position for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Social Work.
The Assistant Professor in the Social Work Program, provides educational services to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening; teaching doctorate, graduate and undergraduate level courses in Social Work along with doctoral level research and advanced data analysis; and may be required to teach courses within his/her concentration area on campus, off-campus, online courses and possible videoconferencing depending on need of location.
This nine-month tenure track position has an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026.
Candidates must possess:
- Doctorate in a field specific to discipline to be taught
- MSW with a minimum of 2 years post-MSW practice experience
The preferred candidate will possess:
- Ph.D./DSW in Social Work
- Previous Social Work teaching experience
