Job Summary:
The Coordinator of Dual Enrollment Admissions & Recruitment is responsible for managing comprehensive and collaborative recruitment strategies to enroll qualified high school students to participate in Jax State’s growing Dual Enrollment program. The ideal candidate for this role will represent the Friendliest Campus in the South in each interaction as they educate high school students and their parents, school counselors, and administrators about the benefits of dual enrollment. This position reports to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions and supervises a Dual Enrollment Counselor. This is an office-based position that requires frequent travel, as well as some nights and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the recruitment of dual enrollment students through efforts including: marketing campaigns, communication plans, information sessions, college fairs and on campus events, and faculty/counselor/parent/student relationships.
- Supervises the Dual Enrollment Counselor; assists with territory management, conducts performance evaluations, training, and time approvals.
- Responsible for recruiting new schools/school systems/teachers/students for participation in the Dual Enrollment program.
- Supports high school counselors associated with dual enrollment through workshops and annual meetings.
- Manages dual enrollment scholarship applications and administration.
- Collaborates with Academic Affairs, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Accounts to ensure seamless delivery of dual enrollment services to participants.
- Advises the larger Dual Enrollment team about opportunities for new DE courses based on high school interest.
- Serves on the Admissions Leadership team and collaborates with other area leaders on communication, the processing of applications, and recruitment events. Informs Admissions personnel of important DE academic updates.
- Serves as a resource to students, families, faculty and staff regarding Dual Enrollment Program.
- Monitors enrollment reports and trends and spearheads initiatives to increase participation in dual enrollment.
- Provides admission and enrollment reports to high school contacts as needed.
- Collaborates with the larger Dual Enrollment team in Academic Affairs to ensure seamless transition of students, relevance of course offerings, successful events, and recruitment strategy alignment.
- Assists in developing communication aimed at high school students, parents, teachers, counselors and administrators.
- Manages an assigned recruitment territory and travels on behalf of the university to recruit students.
- Oversees the planning of select on-campus DE events and assists in the planning of others.
- Oversees the creation of Dual Enrollment recruitment materials in collaboration with Marketing Services.
- Manages the Dual Enrollment Admissions website to ensure accurate and updated information.
- Responds promptly to communication from students, parents, counselors, school contacts, and JSU staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, and
- a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in academic admissions or recruitment, student counseling or academic advisement at high school or college level
- valid Driver’s License & eligible to be approved as a University driver
