Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., some evenings and weekends may be required

Job Summary:

The Dual Enrollment (DE) Counselor works directly with dual enrollment students, parents, faculty, and counselors to recruit new students for dual enrollment. This position manages an assigned territory of high schools and contributes to developing recruitment strategy for DE students. They also help support the matriculation of DE students to First-Time Freshmen. The Dual Enrollment Counselor reports to the Coordinator of Dual Enrollment Admissions & Recruitment. This is an office-based position that requires frequent travel, as well as some nights and weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages a geographic territory of prospective students (as assigned).
  • In collaboration with the Coordinator of DE Admissions & Recruitment, develops recruitment and marketing plans with an understanding of individual high school history, interest, and on-site course offerings to assist the university in successfully achieving its educational mission.
  • Travels to high schools as a university representative to develop relationships with students, educators, and administrators.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle, with a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record acceptable to the employer and insurance carrier.
  • Serves as a resource to students, families, faculty and staff regarding Dual Enrollment and Undergraduate Enrollment.
  • Identifies and addresses concerns of prospective students.
  • Assists high schools and students with the dual enrollment application, scholarship application, and registration process.
  • Performs follow up with interested students through acceptance and enrollment.
  • Collaborates with the Dual Enrollment Academic team to ensure relevance of course offerings and streamlined delivery of DE support.
  • Partners with various university departments in order to coordinate students’ success in the program.
  • Contributes to the development of Dual Enrollment communication for students, parents, and administrators, as well as the development of marketing materials.
  • Assists the Coordinator of Dual Enrollment Admissions & Recruitment with all aspects of dual enrollment recruitment, marketing, and events
  • Assists the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions and admissions counselors with the recruitment and transition of DE students to first-year undergraduate students.
  • Provides admission and enrollment reports to high school contacts as needed.
  • Serves as the advisor to the Dual Enrollment Ambassador program and assists with Ambassador selection.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in higher education student recruitment, marketing, or sales
