Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the employee in this position assists the Coordinator, Athletic Operations with facility management operations. Work will be reviewed for compliance with university policy, adherence to auditing standards, and successful completion of goals. The employee will report to the Director, Athletics.
Employment in this position is contingent upon compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA and Conference affiliation
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with coordinating the scheduling and use of the Recreational Sports facilities, to include: Pete Mathews Coliseum, Stephenson Hall, Kennamer Hall Gym.
- Assists University and community constituents with coordinating event in the Pete Mathews Coliseum, such as graduation, athletic competitions, and physical education classes.
- Assists with coordinating outdoor recreational activities.
- Assists with coordinating the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the indoor heated swimming pool ensuring that all appropriate water, health and safety standards are maintained.
- Maintains records and reports for facilities and programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Prior experience in the areas of Physical Education, Intramurals, Recreation and Athletics
- Experience in pool maintenance required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation, or related field preferred
- CPR and WSI certification desirable
