The Graduate Enrollment Specialist is responsible for the processing of graduate applications, verification of students’ academic history, program entry dates, and ensuring accurate recording of student information in the Banner System. This position is also responsible for evaluating international transcripts, admissions decisions for programs waiving review for unconditional admissions; preparation, processing and distribution of decision letters and ongoing communications with academic programs; end-of-the-semester reporting and processing of conditionally admitted students; and evaluation of unencumbered licensure for nursing applicants. Assistant Professor, Cell Biology Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
This faculty member will be expected to teach courses in general biology for majors and non-majors, cell biology, and upper-level specialty courses within their biological field of study.  Teaching and mentoring masters-level graduate students is also expected.  Development of a research program in an area of cell biology is required. The ideal candidate will conduct research utilizing mammalian cell culture, with an interest in cancer research using, for example, plant secondary metabolites such as cannabinoids. The candidate will be innovative with a strong interest in teaching undergraduate and graduate students through active learning pedagogy. The successful candidate will demonstrate aptitude and inclination for engaging students in research, both through individual mentored research as well as course-embedded undergraduate research experiences.  The applicant must demonstrate the ability to advise students on future careers and have a working knowledge of curriculum requirements, as well as assessment and educational trends in higher education. A record of grant writing experience for extramural funding is beneficial. Assistant Professor, Criminal Justice & Forensic Investigation Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The Department of Criminal Justice & Forensic Investigation invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice & Forensic Investigation. The director of field and clinical experiences will be responsible for the implementation and assessment of the field experiences of pre-service teachers, professional studies, and graduate experiences. The director of field and clinical experiences will be the point of contact between P-12 partner schools and the EPP. The Director is responsible for recruiting, planning, managing, coordinating activities, developing and maintaining partnerships, outreach, and other duties as assigned. The Director serves as the CEPS liaison between local public and private P-12 schools and the institution to coordinate programs and services. The Coordinator of Sponsored Programs ensures the university is compliant with internal and funder policies as applied to funded contracts, grant awards, sub-awards, and subcontracts. Develops Principal Investigator/Project Director training and checklists to support Institutional policies and procedures. Coordinates with faculty, staff, administrators, and sub-recipients to provide program-related documentation for reports and audits (i.e., time and effort certification, invoices, etc.). Verifies all documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely fashion. Assists Associate Director and Senior Director with managing Faculty Research Grants. Coordinates purchases, payments, and budget adjustments for the office. Coordinates outreach opportunities and professional development for faculty and professional staff. Collaborates with the Associate Director on monthly and annual reports. The Coordinator of Sponsored Programs also supports the Pre-Award functionality of the unit by developing and checking budgets, proofreading, editing and assisting with writing grant proposals, interpreting guidelines, coordinating meetings with potential grant proposal partners, and supporting the Associate Director and the Senior Director as they develop grant proposals and applications.
